No cliché, song, or quote could completely and accurately describe the New York City experience. To visit here is one thing, but living in the heart of the city will change you. Whether you’ve been here for 3 hours or 10 years, there is a unique feeling the atmosphere gives; some may describe it as exhausting, but most say that it feels full of promise. People arrive here with hopes and dreams that are as big as the skyscrapers towering above them. But the bright lights can be blinding and even deceitful. The higher the hopes, the more devastating it is when they are crushed. Still, people continue pressing on in the bustle of the city, whether they are stock brokers, performing artists, or ordinary people trying to get by. The citizens of this city have resilience, ambition, and most importantly, passion.

NYC-roleplay is a group of writers playing characters they have created as they live, work, and thrive in New York City. Members are offered the opportunity to create a character that’s all their own. Apart from a few restrictions, anything is possible.
