I’m not sure if you mean reasons why you can get a detention or like things you can do in detention? But I think it’s the latter so I’ll answer that

Clean bathrooms
Mop/Sweet floors
Pick up trash outside of school
Clean blackboards/whiteboards
Sort through mail
Hang up posters around school
Organize some kind of charity event
